From the last post, I realised that there was some information that I didn't have. I decided to contact 3 different companies/people to see if they could give me the information.

Here is the skeleton of the email :

I am currently in my final year of Product Design at the University of Dundee. I have found your website to be incredibly educational and at the same time, shocking. I think visualising these statistics helps to feel some sort of responsibility and build motivation to do something about it. However, I spoke to a lot of people who found the data sets to be completely overwhelming and discouraging. This meant the data on its own, actually has a negative impact, as people feel so helpless.

For my honours year project, I am creating a product which is all about visualising climate change data. I want it to motivate people and show them that they can make a difference. I would use the data specifically about air pollution as I think this is the basis for a lot of climate change. I would display a small message with the data showing daily goals individuals can do to help the situation.

Would you be able to help me acquire the data needed to calculate how many grams of CO2 every individual would need to save, in order for us to reach the global target of +1.5 degrees? This information would allow me to make the daily goals much more personal and give the user a sense of responsibility and also hope. For this, I would like to know what daily tasks this can be compared to such as driving an average car or heating a kettle?

I would be very grateful for any information you could provide.
